INTERLINK/YU Students Set Guinness World Record

YU MosaicAs promised, we are pleased to follow up on our former news post “INTERLINK Students excel in YU’s Eco Challenge,” and announce that Al Yamamah University has set the Guinness World Record for the “Largest Mosaic Made from Recycled Items.”

Made from plastic and glass bottles, soda cans, colored plastic tins, and other such materials, the mosaic was among many different items created by the students to promote recycling in Saudi Arabia. Completion of the mosaic was already its own reward, and now the INTERLINK/YU, women’s campus students can enjoy official, international recognition for their work.

We expect that such titles will only support the students’ continued efforts to create a more environmentally sustainable world.
