English Programs

INTERLINK’s project-based curriculum is available online and on the campus of the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Emphasizing intensive language learning, academic preparation, and cultural awareness, the language component of the curriculum focuses on listening, speaking, reading, writing, and skills necessary for professional growth and academic success.

Classes are conducted using Zoom video conferencing, Canvas, and Google Suite, enabling students to study from the comfort of their homes, in their countries or on the campuses of our host universities. When students complete Level 4, they can opt to take in-person English classes.

Curriculum

From its inception in 1980, INTERLINK’s goals have set it apart from traditional English language programs. Fostering critical thinking, personal growth, academic readiness, and cultural awareness: these are the abilities we focus on while improving students’ linguistic skills.

Three elements are essential to accomplishing these goals:

  1. An instructional approach that minimizes use of textbooks and maximizes experiential learning and reflection
  2. A project-based curriculum that involves students in collective learning and functioning in an English-speaking academic and professional environment
  3. Instructors, selected for their cross-cultural experience, commitment to students, and creativity
