In INTERLINK’s 10-hour mini-courses, ESL instructors meet to examine principles for implementing effective English language learning activities in the classroom.
Covering a different topic each month, participants will develop strategies for helping students learn English while improving their own language skills.
Each lesson centers around a different activity relating to the month’s topic. Participants will experience what it is like to be a learner by engaging in the activity themselves. Then, teachers will have opportunities for deliberate practice by microteaching given activities. This experiential approach provides an example from which teachers can analyze factors that help, and hinder, student learning.
